— Frequently Asked Questions —

What is the O-Shot®?

The Orgasm Shot® (O-Shot®) procedure is a very specific method of using blood-derived growth factors to rejuvenate the vagina to help relieve women with urinary incontinence and sex problems.

The names “Orgasm Shot” and “O-Shot” were awarded to Charles Runels, MD (the first to do the procedure) and are protected by US Patent & Trademark law.

What is in the O-Shot®?
This orgasm therapy treatment uses PRP (platelet-rich plasma) harnessed from the patient’s blood. The injection has been widely successful in treating a range of age-related symptoms. This PRP shot is inserted into the vagina and clitoris while the patient is under local anesthesia. Thus, the process is simple and painless.

What is the O-Shot® used for?
This treatment uses platelets from the blood that are nutrient-rich and have medically proven enhancement abilities. Besides treating vaginal dryness and urinary incontinence, the treatment also stimulates tissue growth and improves the health of your sexual organs, thus contributing to a better orgasm.

How the O-Shot® Treatment is Performed
During your session, about 6-8 ccs of your blood is to be drawn using a venipuncture. Venipuncture alludes to the medical procedure wherein a blood sample is withdrawn from a vein. Using a centrifuge and designated FDA approved tubes, the blood is processed via spinning, thus the PRP in the blood is enhanced and extracted into a syringe. With that, the first step is effectively completed.

Moving into the main portion of the treatment, your doctor will numb the vaginal and clitoral region (numbing cream and local anesthesia) and inject a certain amount (1 cc) of the spun PRP into your clitoral glans.

Following which, the remaining 5 ccs are injected under the vaginal skin around the G-spot area. The best part of this treatment is that it lasts for only about 1 minute. More than one injection can be administered if the doctor deems it necessary for your symptoms. Patients report either no pain at all or just a quick pricking sensation that subsides quickly.

What Are the Biggest Benefits of the O-Shot®?
Patients have reported the following post-treatment benefits:

  • Enhancement in libido and sexual desire

  • Heightened vaginal and clitoral sensitivity contributing to a stronger orgasms

  • Decreased urinary incontinence

  • Improved vaginal lubrication

  • Reduction in pain during intercourse

  • Increased ability to experience a G-Spot orgasm

  • Enhancement of skin on the vulva

  • Treatment of lichen sclerosis which is a condition where the skin on the vulva may itch and this can possibly lead to atrophy

How Long Before the Results Manifest?
Sexual function improvements from the O-Shot® have been estimated in 75-95% of women! Within days after the treatment, most women report a noticeable improvement in their sexual arousal and orgasm intensity. The full effects of the treatment will most likely manifest after 3 months. Your doctor may suggest undergoing re-treatment if the initial results aren’t as pronounced.

The effects of the treatment last for anywhere between 1 to 4 years, and when this wanes, many patients opt for re-treatments.

What Are the Side Effects of the O-Shot®?
Since this treatment focuses on injecting the patient’s own PRP back into their system, complications, if any, are rare. However, since the PRP has to be processed after extraction, it’s highly essential that the doctor maintains a sterile environment throughout. If the PRP is contaminated, re-injection will be compromised.

These procedures are highly sensitive, so don’t take a gamble. This is why we strongly recommend approaching a trusted and licensed doctor for your orgasm therapy treatment.

Individual results do vary, and no responsibility is assumed for failure to achieve the desired result. With the utilization of this procedure, no promise or representation, guarantee, or warranty regarding its use, benefit, or other quality is made. No representations that the use of this procedure or PRP is approved by the FDA or any other agency of the federal or state government are made.
